Author Guidelines

AIJR Synopsis, under the Abstracts Central platform, offers a new way for students to publish detailed summaries of their completed theses. This publication series aims to share key academic research early and widely by providing an official record of the main findings from a student’s thesis or dissertation. Before submitting, authors should follow these guidelines carefully to make sure their work is suitable for publication.

At the beginning of your submission, you need to include some basic details in a clear format. These details should include your thesis title, the degree you completed (like MSc or PhD) and year, the full name and acronym of your university or institution, its location, the department where you completed the work, your name, the name of your supervisor, and the link where your full thesis is published if it’s available online.

Your abstract should follow a clear structure. Start with an introduction that gives background information and explains why your research is important. Then, describe your research methods—how you carried out your study, what tools or data you used. In the next section, summarize the results and discuss what they mean. Finally, include a conclusion that highlights your main findings and suggests possible future research directions. All abstracts must include references to other published work, with at least two references and no more than ten. Make sure that each reference is meaningfully discussed in your abstract—ideally with around 250 words per reference.

The reference style should follow the IEEE format. In your abstract, you’ll cite sources using numbers in square brackets, like this: [1], [2]. At the end, you’ll include a reference list where each item is properly formatted in the IEEE style. For example, a journal article should be listed with the authors, article title, journal name, volume and issue number, page range, and publication year.

Your abstract should be between 1,000 and 2,500 words (excluding figures, tables, or the reference list). You may include up to two tables and two figures to support your summary. Each table or figure should have a number and a clear title, with a caption provided directly below. Images should be clear and of high quality—at least 300 dpi—and saved in formats like PNG or JPEG, or embedded within a Word document.

The abstract should be written in clear academic English, avoiding unnecessary jargon and using correct grammar. Use Times New Roman, size 11 font, with 1.15 line spacing in a single-column layout. Please submit your abstract as a Word (.docx) file, PDF files are not accepted. Before publication, your submission will be checked for plagiarism and overall quality. The acceptable plagiarism limit is below 10%.
