Analysis of Children's Readiness to Enter Preschool from Parents’ Perspective

Abstract

This research analyses children's readiness to enter preschool from the parent’s perspective. In this study, 15 questionnaires were used to evaluate children's abilities in various aspects of development, including cognitive, motor, sensory, and social skills. The data was obtained through questionnaires filled out by parents of children who will enter preschool. Questionnaires point include children's ability to differentiate between hard and soft objects, sort objects from large to small, recognize the difference between wooden and plastic objects, and the ability to differentiate between living things and inanimate objects. The questionnaire also evaluates children's sensory skills such as the ability to recognize colors, sounds, food tastes, and smells. The results of this research are hoped to provide an overview of the extent of children's readiness to enter a preschool environment. It is hoped that the implications of the results of this research can help parents and educational institutions in planning learning programs that meet the developmental needs of preschool children.
