Abstract

Biomedical Imaging is the technique of studying medical pictures of the interior of a body for clinical analysis to examine the body and diagnose diseases, it also involves studying the pattern of electrical signals (ECG, EEG, EMG) to understand how our organs are working. This technique helps medical professionals to inspect different organ functioning without surgery, for early detection of diseases to start treatment timely. AI in Biomedical Imaging and Signal Analysis helps in making diagnosis of diseases such as tumors, fractures, infections and body’s abnormalities faster by analysing images like X-rays, MRI, CT scans and ultrasound. AI increases efficiency, improves accuracy and reduces the need for manual data analysis. Techniques used in Biomedical Imaging and Signal Analysis are Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), Image Segmentation and Machine Learning techniques like pattern recognition. Application of AI has a positive impact in biomedical imaging and signal analysis which includes improved patient care, better decision making, rapid & accurate non-invasive diagnosis, growth of telemedicine and cost-effective healthcare. With growing advancements in technology, AI in biomedical imaging and signal analysis will play a bigger role in revolutionizing healthcare by real-time monitoring through wearable devices and providing patient-specific medication and treatment. It will also help researchers and scientists to discover new diseases, develop better and effective drugs and making medical services smarter and faster.
